Back in the year 2000, I was addicted to Counter-Strike 1.0. I played hours every day for over half a year before I started to decrease the playing time.

Neverwinter Nights had me addicted to a server for over 3 months. I played it every day for at least 5~6 hours each.

Battlefield 1942 and Desert Combat mod had me playing for years. Although I didn't play them every day, I still spent considerable more time on it than the two games I mentioned earlier.

Lineage 2 had me addicted for a full year with at least 5~6 hours spent per day.

Battlefield 2 had me playing for a few years. Online status show I killed over 100,000 players with kill/death ratio of over 3.76 to 1.

The latest game had me addicted was World of Tanks. I killed over 10,000 enemy players' tanks in the course of 3~4 months.

What games have you been addicted to? How often did you play?

During my childhood, I was very much addicted to Super Mario. I remember wanting to hit each brick to get the hidden mushrooms and 1Ups and then trying to complete a stage as fast as I could to get those extra coins. So many times I used to get scoldings from my mom for not eating lunch and keep on playing.

Recently 3-4 years back I got addicted to playing Mafia Wars or facebook. I even remember creating a separate account to play the game. Getting up in the middle of the night to attack someone and gain points and experience. On many occasions I used to put alarm and sleep and wont switch on the lights to make sure others don't know :grin:

Oh I remember that Mafia War. The first one.
That was a few years ago when someone invited me to join the mafia war on facebook. I got addicted to it for a month or so, and I was inviting "friends" left and right to boost my fighting ability. Then I realized my friend list was filled with fake friends, and I started to remove them to just leave my real friends.

Right now I have lost all interest in browser based games. They can be intersting for the starters, but get bored quite fast because they aren't complex enough for you to experience different gameplay every time. Some of my friends are still playing those flash games on facebook all day.

Back in the day, I was quite addicted to the Harvest Moon games for the GBA. I'd just lie in my bed for hours playing them. When we're in a middle of a class break, I quickly take my GBA out and start playing.

The first game that I ever played on PC was Virtua Cop 2 :)
I used to visit my cousin brother's house every weekend to play it as I didn't have my personal computer yet. In 2006 when I got my first PC I started playing GTA - Vice City suggested by one of my friends and soon I became addicted to it :p
And in 2010 I was addicted to Pokemon Ruby which I played on my PC using an emulator

Ooh I remember those days :)

My first PC game was Final Fantasy 7, i loved it even though it felt a little weird to play, it was sort of heavy and not as fun as the PS version

In which way that you feel the PC version of FF7 is weird? :) What exaclty is the difference?

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, I just allways loved the idea of going anyway you wanted and doing anything you wanted 24/7 and when I was playing would always set my own personal goals like complete the whole campaign without dieing or when possible only use a 9mm. Even to this day you could say I still play it as I now play San Andreas Multiplayer (Or SA-MP) on a RP server which incrases the depth of the game and allows for endless hours of fun. But yeah GTA San Andreas is a great game.

I've been addicted ( and still am addicted with some ) to;

Minecraft
Battlefield 1943
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Battlefield 3 ( Still addicted! Including the expansion packs ).

That seems to be it, for now. I'm sure I will become addicted to the upcoming games in the near future ( Two of them being a Ubisoft game, which I never usually become addicted to ).

I've been addicted to these games for almost a long time now (3 years i think):

DoTA (Warcraft)
WoW
and Travian

Travian usually takes a lot of my time but the teamplay that comes along with it is great.

A long time ago, I used to be addicted to World of Warcraft. I had been playing it for hours with my friends but than the school started and I quited.

Was addicted to Pokemon. Me and my brother use to play Pokemon all day, battle each other. Those were the days.

Also pretty addicted to Minecraft now.
