What If: Another AAA developer made a Mario game and not Nintendo

Which developer would you choose? Also would you prefer it to be in first person, or your traditional 3rd person?

I hate to say it but I want to see Ubisoft make a mainline similar Mario platformer in 3D, or 2D. What they did to Rayman just made him lose charm, but if Mario had been with Ubisoft maybe their creative freedom would shine.
