This is a pretty good video with nice animation. The guys narration is pretty good with his crisp voice. Cloud computing looks good for people who are too poor to buy a computer which can run programs which they need to use, but need to use the programs to do their job to earn money.

For Example, a poor teen in the Philippines, China, and India at the local library or internet cafe where he can use the internet and a computer for free or a very cheap price to make a free account on Google Docs to write his E-book about travel, survival skills, etc with Google Docs Word Processor, and when he is finished, he can export what he written as a PDF, and sell his PDF E-book on Amazon, Clickbank, E-Junkie, eBay, Craigslist, Cafepress, forums, blogs or his own online store which is run on Joomla, OScommerce, or WordPress hosted on cheap shared web hosting.

Yes, it is. Google Chrome OS laptop is like what you said. If you lose your Chrome laptop, Google will send you a new one, and you log back into Google's website, and all your files will still be on your account.
