NES mario games got a 16-remake overhaul twice (Snes, GBA) then what is Nintendo waiting to ovehaul the first two zelda games? I'm not asking them to remake the whole thing expanding the story, (which I would prefer if they do that) but just a 16-bit (or more) look.

I know Miyamoto is planning on something similar to LttP but what about the two original games?

You know what screw all that, I remember that a long time ago Nintendo did make a kind of remake of the original zelda game for the satellaview, named BS Zelda in which instead of using link you used a boy that was your avatar for that service.

Here is a sample picture of it.

NOW, that I remember the darn name of the game I did a search, and what do you know? Now my Hylian challenge got at least one game bigger. Since this remakes are only un-official 3rd and the 4th quest of the original zelda game there was ANOTHER jewel hidden deep withing Nintendo's dark history. A SEQUEL to LttP!!!!!!!!!!!!

You heard me! A freaking un-official/official sequel that was never released outside Japan, featuring hip hop Link.

Here is the ORIGINAL title screen:

Now the English altered one:

and two in game screenshots:

Now I'm making a re-run on all the zelda games (excluding the horrible CD-i games) and my timeline couldn't be complete if I didn't included the Ancient stone tablets.

So this topic got kinda off road but still on topic. Now my next question is:

Why haven't Nintendo re-released this games outside of the satellite service as the hackers did for emulation?

I already downloaded all the roms and will someday give them a try. ( I can't wait). Want to see the games in action?

What the WHAT? And voice acting?? You start LttP2 with the Good Bee and no sword (which is a pretty neat idea) and you can carry HOW many rupees?

Its weird... but I want this game too!

Sadly the voice acting was only during the live sesions of the game via the satellite, and most of the tracks were lost. This roms have text based story telling using the original live action script.

I'm uploading a short video of a test drive of this roms on my Wii.

Here is a short video I made after writing this topic. The roms work perfect on the snes9x emulators and so do on the Wii.

I'm surprised these games were never released, but unfortunately I can sort of understand Nintendo's reasons, they basically lost all the original voice acting and speech and hence would have to rerecord it all over again.

That's more work than Nintendo would like to do for a port.

Then why not just do what the hackers did and put all into text?

On the topic of remaking the original Zeldas....I say why not?!
I mean it'd be cool and give fans a sense of nostalgia, and it'd be a must buy for me...but would Nintendo do that?

Its been roughly 25-26 years since the original Zelda so....I dunno if it's ever going to be..
