I wonder will the Wii U be able to play wii games and not to mention gamecube classics, or can I look at DVD's or blue rays .Maybe the little hand held device they builded should have been an accessory for the wii instead of just selling us a new console .what do you think ? , but I'm buying the Wii U win it comes out . comments

It does play Wii games and uses ALL Wii peripherals. It does not play Gamecube games nor it uses the gamecube controllers. But the new Wii U controller pro will fill that gap.

The Wii U will be able to play Wii games, but not Gamecube discs. Gamecube games are going to be on virtual console. It's 2012, the last thing the Wii needs is an accessory, a new console is much needed, especially considering how outdated the Wii is in terms of technology. I think you'll be able to play DVDs, not sure about Blu-Rays.

I didn't figure that

As I said. The Wii U is a games console. The PlayStation 2/3 is a multimedia powerhouse that has crap games and is too obssessed with how much CPU or RAM it has rather than what the games are.
