What Mario Kart 7 items do you most/least like to get?

Let's say you're racing, either online, local vs or GP mode and you pass a set of item boxes. What items do you most and least want to receive from those item boxes?

Here are my selections:

Would most want to receive

Golden Mushroom: Bullet Bills are slow and stay on track, Stars basically do nothing in this game (they barely boost your speed at all, so unless people are directly in your path the item is a tad useless) and Lightning is very much a situational item (aka, works great on areas with lots of bottomless pits for people to fall into, and a fair amount of space left to let you overtake everyone). But the Golden Mushroom is really, really useful in probably most tracks, and lets you cut a ridiculous of time off if you get it in either a flat level like Toad Circuit or Kalimari Desert.

Triple Red Shells: If you're in a good position, aka about second, and you get these, then first place is practically 'dead' unless they get triple bananas.

Bullet Bill: Hey, if you're bad enough to get it, being able to have the AI steer the kart for you is practically a godsend. And you're invincible, which is nice.

Lucky Seven: Use the star first and you're set for victory.

Would least want to receive

Blooper: Has no effect on the race in general (and most people can just drive fine with its effects anyway), and provides zero defence against the barrage of attack items people behind you are most likely to have. If you get this and the person behind gets triple red shells, it's really not your day.

Tanooki Tail: Fine if you're in the lead by a fair way, but in second or lower or with people close behind? Watch it run exactly as you pass an item box and the person behind get a red shell. Its time limited nature basically makes it an awful item to randomly receive.

One Mushroom: Unless you're in first with an imminent Blue Shell, this is probably the worst normal item to get. It gives practically no speed advantage in most cases (if you don't have a shortcut coming up, this probably won't help at all), and it gives no defence against the items the people behind you likely got.

So what items do you like or dislike to get in Mario Kart 7?

Comes at random times but when you need it. Seriously, this has to be the best Item evear. It's very lucky to get this, too, so yeah. Zoom over Kalimari Desert's corners and all. It's really kewl.

Triple Red Shells:
I must say, these are very usefull, especially in 2nd, when 1st is usally close. Which it usually is. Advantage: Dev >

Star:
Get this on narrow courses, like SNES rainbow road. Watch the horror. Best Item ever.

Blue Shell:
Stratagetically, this is a good item to use. Knock down a bunch of people and explode the best person at the right time. It's like lining up 10 ducks for a shot.

The ones I hate are...

Bullet Bill:
These used to be good. Now they suck, they're slow and deteriorate at the wrong times. Hate these.

Bloopers:
Possibly the most useless item ever. Wow, the racers are blinded! There's a bottom screen to look at!

The ones I like:

Tripe Red Shells: Triple death. If I'm coming second first place is practically screwed unless they have tripe bananas. They also make a decent shield when there's three or two left rotating around the Kart, and if someone DOES strike me they usually now have no protection and I've got at least one shot left.

Triple Bananas: A fantastic Item in first, because you can block three attacks.

Star: I don't care if there's not much of a speed boost, I like the music. Besides, it's rather satisfying slamming into your opponents with it.

Mushrooms (single, triple and Gold): A good speed boost never hurt anyone. Also comes in handy for Blue Shell dodging.

Bob-Omb: Explosions are awesome! There's nothing more satisfying then realising someone's tailing you, trying to draft, and you drop one of these bad boys and it blows up in their faces. If you can throw one forward and score a direct hit, it's even better because you can see it.

Lightning: Hard to get, but I swear they brought back the days of the N64 lightning, where bigger players could squash the small ones. They don't ome to a complete standstill but they do slow down further.

Lucky 7: Really fun using a Star then spamming the rest because you need not worry about getting hit.

The ones I hate:

Lightning: Yes, I hate it and love it. If you can't squish anyone, or are too far away, it's useless.

Tanooki Tail: This item, whilst a clever addition, stinks. Especially since everytime I get it I use it almost immeditely, but then it sticks around until I drive past the NEXT set of Item boxes, and you can't pick up anything whilst it's active.

Blue Shell: Goes without saying. Worst thing ever if you're in first. Best thing ever when you're in second though.

Bullet Bill: Yes, it's a boost. Yes, you're invincible. Yes, it guides you around the course. So? It's easy to avoid and you can't direct it into something.

Blooper: Come ON. It's EASY to look out the parts of the screen in all games this is in. It really doesn't help. The computer racers might be swerving left and right a little but this doesn't slow them down enough.
