What operating system would you teach kids to use?

I most likely teach kids how to use a Linux based operating system, so I do not have to deal with as much spyware, malware, and virus programs which can cripple a Microsoft Windows based computer if kids visit infected websites to download infected programs. I also don't have to teach them about disk defrags, disk clean up and scan disks since only Windows need to manual disk defrags and scan disks. Plus, Linux use a few GB of space so it will take forever to fill up a hard drive to the point it needs a disk clean up if the drive is 100GB+.

Plus, I save money by not having to buy expensive license keys for Windows Operating System and software since I can just install Linux on an older computer.
