What should Sony do to have a better E3 next year?

Sony's show was pretty average. Mostly good, not too much bad. But no flare like their past shows. It was great to see games like Starhawk and Sly 4. But the problem with their show is some of the games they took time to show were ones we seen from last years show. Like Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3 for example. The idea for E3 should be to show what we'll play in the fairly distant future. Not in the immediate one. The bright spot by far was the PS Vita, formerly codenamed the NGP. If the Vita proves anything, it's that Sony has learned their lesson about price. This time around their hand held is priced competitively. And somehow, they still managed to be feature rich. My big concern is that it might become a side story machine to Sony's main games, just like the PSP. I think the Vita needs it's own exclusive franchises outside of the PS3 in order to have true mainstream appeal. Overall, a decent show, but could have been better. What do you guys think Sony needs to improve for next years E3?

I honestly think they should launch the PS4 next year. Waiting until 2014 is a huge mistake, every single one of my gaming friends plans on buying the new Wii U. I can guarantee that once the Wii U launches next year, PS3 sales will be in a slump.

P.S. If they go the same route they did this year and show more PS3 and Vita games there are going to be many disappointed Sony fans next year.

I doubt they'll be in any slump due to the Wii U.

The Wii U has certain factors working against it. First off, its sure to be priced higher than the ps3 or 360.

Secondly, it seems to be getting a lot of games that are already available for the HD consoles a year or more late.

Third, just because Sony has a 10 year plan like always doesn't mean they won't bring out a new system before that. It just means they won't abandon the current one.

And lastly, they're going to have a hard time getting people to buy that if their graphics are only marginally better than the PS3 and 360. And the fact that they showed just the controller combined with ps3/360 footage for their third party games speak volumes of negativity.
