So does anyone here know of some general knowledge or guides of a proper Windows 10 set up? I know if you left everything default, you'll be filled with ads or have your bandwidth strained with MS's underhanded methods.

You will? I haven't seen any ads on my PC so far... I don't know about the bandwidth issue cause I have unlimited internet...

What version of Windows 10 are you using?

I wonder if the sponsored tile ads in the Startmenu and Startscreen tablet user interface, and bundled apps like Candy Crush Saga just comes installed by default in the Home version of Windows 10, and not the Pro, Ultimate and Enterprise version of Windows 10 which is mainly used by professionals who work in an office, store, or school.

I think MS is less likely to put sponsored tile ads, and bundled apps like Candy Crush Saga in Windows 10 Pro, Ultimate, and Enterprise because workers don't want ads, or play games when at work.

I don't have any ads or anything but I did disable quite a bit of stuff, which I do on every windows upgrade since they always come with loads of needless crap. As for the ads in the start menu, I believe that is supposed to be coming in a future update.. but I've only read small stories about it and haven't followed up on it since I honestly am not too worried about it since I'm sure someone will make a program to disable it rather quickly.

I've looked at some W10 which the start menu is full of game ads for xbox related games and such. Also you may want to check your windows update options, there is a p2p option active meaning that your PC is in a torrent network to allow others to get updates faster.

Oh, I have that Candy Crush Soda Saga tile in my Start menu. I didn't know that was an ad. I thought it was just a default game, kind of like how Windows 7 came with Minesweeper. It doesn't really bother me. I made it a small tile and placed it at the bottom.

Is it possible to remove the Candy Crush Saga Tile from the Start menu?

I installed Windows 10 with the recommended settings and besides the automatic lock screen wallpaper change, market and a couple of ads I haven't seen anything too malicious. I don't think you can get rid of their app market or apps like Edge when you install, I checked the custom settings and there wasn't anything to be seen about this.
That being said, I think Windows 10 is miles better than Windows 8.1 in terms of performance and UI. The OS also seems really stable and except for automatic updates I haven't had a problem with it.

you can remove most apps through powershell commands (It's how I got rid of the annoying groovy music app). But like IE, you can't remove edge without nuking the entire HDD/SSD.

I will say this for W10, I like the search bar out front.

I prefer the search bar in the startmenu because I have a smaller lower resolution monitor, so the search bar uses more space.

I also rarely search on Windows because most of my program shortcuts are on the Desktop, and my important files are organized in folders, so they are simple to find.

I like Windows 10, YES! Yet there are dis-licks that Microsoft is adding more unnecessary things.

I dislike that Microsoft bundled stuff like OneNote, Groove Music, Xbox, Cortana, and other stuff which not everyone uses.

they are easy to remove with a right click or powershell commands.

They maybe easy to remove. But, I feel apps like OneNote, Xbox and Groove Music should be optional downloads where the users' chooses to download and install them instead of including extra bundled apps which can make install times a few minutes longer, and the user would need to spend some of their time finding out how to fully remove them.
