I usually don't set anything anywhere.
So, whatever is default, I usually go with that. I am picky only when I am downloading stuff.

So you do you enlarge videos? like theater mode/full screen?
No, I do not unless there is small text on the video I want to read.
I know the feel; programming video tutorial that capture entire 4k screen, and then upload it in 360p only to save on 4G data.

Just don't watch 8k in 60 FPS on mobile internet, problem solved!

8K phones are very rare anyway.
I watch videos in 360. I honestly can't tell the difference between SD and HD anyway so there's no reason to strain my internet more than I have to.
However, 144 and 240 are the worst. I don't even know why those are options.

I want to thank 144 and 240 for previews.
Increasingly 4K since I got my TV. So when I use an app on that most video (if available) streams at 4K. Other than that, basically always 1080p.
the mindless population demands their high quality though.
