I used to have a small keychain handheld device with a few simple games like snakes, pong, tetris built-into the keychain handheld which I can play.

I also had an older regular Nokia cell phone which can play tetris, snakes, and pong. I think the screen was 1-2 inches in size.

My old Samsung flip phone with a color screen has a 2 inch color screen, and it can play games like Contra, Tetris, and a racing game by using the number pad and buttons to control the game.

Back in the past, Tamagotchi virtual pet keychain game which was played on a small screen were popular with young kids and teens.

I played those pong, tetris, snake, etc. games on old cell phones, and old iPod nanos. Smallest devices I can think of.

I played some old games that was installed in a LG flip phone. Snakes and ladders with the screen size of 1 to 2 inch. Later that day I got in trouble for using up his battery

My note 4 phone, big screen for phones but the smallest I ever played. Though maybe I should say Gameboy color since that was also small.
