E3 What will be shown in E3's Super Mario Odyssey trailer?

It's the biggest game of Nintendo's show, and the one they've clearly stated will be the main focus of their whole presentation.

But what will they actually show of it this time?

Will it be more of the content we've already seen, like New Donk City and the desert level from the first trailer?

Is the plot going to be a big feature here, with Nintendo explaining how Bowser's 'marry Princess Peach' plan got off the ground or why Mario's flying around in a ship shaped like his hat?

And will any more general gameplay details come to the fore here? Because at the moment, we don't know how the game's been structured at all. What do you collect to open new levels and reach the final boss battle? Do you collect anything at all? Just how open ended are these massive levels anyway?

All of that's unknown at the moment, and it makes you wonder whether Nintendo will shed a bit of light on it in this event.

Same gameplay details to make all mario fans wet happy to get the next game. If nothing else something really interesting.

I can't even imagine what this game is going to be. I'm hoping for a SM64 type thing where you enter levels from the hub world and collect stars or something like that. Though, I wouldn't be opposed to a Sonic Adventure way where you have to open up areas from the hub world and do missions like that.

Really though, I just want to know why the humans are 8 or 9 feet tall.

I agree with DS. I think they'll probably show stuff that will make all the Mario fans happy and excited.

I just can't wait to see what they'll actually show...

I think it will be more gameplay and maybe other small quirks, characters or items.
Maybe a bit of story through their trailer but I don't think they will show you much. If there is a time to hype people to want to put this game in their Xmas lists is right from the E3. Then probably a Direct or two to keep the flame alive.
