What will be the maximum storage space including the SD Card for the Switch?

I read on different websites like MyNintendoNews that the Switch dev. kit console's internal storage space is 32GB, and it supports SDXC SD Cards up to 128GB in size, external USB storage is not supported, and games are run off a MicroSD Memory card according to VG247 .
 
I'm sure with a little hacking and cracking we can get a 256 GB card into one.
 
I feel for gamers who play a lot of downloadable games, a 1TB or larger size card is better.

I think there would be third-party SD card or Switch accessory maker companies which make SD cards which are larger than 128GB work on the Switch.

Most likely if a hack or crack exist, there would be console modding companies which average users can hire to hack and crack their Switch, so their Switch can use bigger SD Cards.
 
It'd be nice if the system had 64GB by default at least but they likely went with 32GB to keep costs down.

As for larger SD cards...
1TB microsd cards aren't even out yet. But when they do come out they're going to be significantly more expensive... 256GB is almost 200 USD. 1TB is likely going to be 600-800 US. Plus it's going to take time before many devices can even make use of all that space.

Honestly if Nintendo cared about extra storage space they'd leave USB ports on the dock so people could connect their external hard drives.
 
I agree 64GB would be a better default size. Maybe Nintendo would release special edition's of the Switch like a Zelda Switch which comes with 64GB or more GB of space.

It would be nice to have SD Card support of up to 2TB since other mobile devices like the Blackberry Priv smartphone can support a MicroSD card up to 2TB according to Blackberry's Priv media card help site.

The MicroSD card reader slot on the Switch is most likely cheaper, and can only support cards up to 128GB in size like other Nvidia Tegra devices like the Nvidia Shield K1 tablet and Shield TV mini-console. The drive controller chipset's firmware on the Switch may also be limited to up to 128 GB of space because Tegra devices are limited to MicroSD cards up to 128 GB in size.
