As we know, Steam's summer sale is about to start, so what are you guys waiting to buy from it?

I must admit that I have really no idea what to expect, so maybe I'll be just seeing the daily deals and maybe if some of my wishlisted games have neat discounts I'll get them. But what about you?

Probably nothing. I can't really find anything on want on Steam whenever I go on. However, if the new King's Quest game is on sale, I might get that. It looks amazing. We'll wait and see what's on sale first.

Well, I've personally lost all faith in any game being good (not just "I expect games to be excellent", just "I expect games to be fun, not bugged, original..."). There are a few interesting games but it feels like good game design is now some sacred lost object. Anyone got recommendations for those types of RPG's, FPS's, and puzzlers?

There aren't many RPGs on Steam, but Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Symphonia are pretty good candidates for solid games. Haven't beat either myself, but I can vouch for the quality of most Tales games.

Oh, I should have mentioned I wanted details on each as well. Unfortunately, the games are too popular to have the Steam reviews not suck, and good luck getting me to trust any "game journalists" now. What are the positive draws and negative draws for it? I kinda like the visuals so far (besides Times New Roman health bars, and seemingly starting with HP near the hundreds instead of the tens).

I also found way more good games in the puzzle genre than in the other two. If anyone is wondering about that genre, I have many words.

Almost anything from TellTale Games is good (apart from Jurassic Park, brrrr....), and they tend to go pretty cheap / in a bundle every now and then, so unless you've already played them all, I can wholeheartedly recommend them!

I also played the Steam re-release of Grim Fandango few weeks ago, and it was hilarious! Sure it hasn't aged all that well, but luckily I don't mind the graphics all that much, especially how fun the story itself was. Lots of puzzles in that one, compared to TTG games in general.

Nothing :( Unfortunately I missed this sale, didn't pay attention to the dates nor to the deals. I was thinking of buying a few games to play when I have down time, but now I guess I'll have to wait until the next sale. Hopefully the games I am thinking of buying will be on sale near Christmas.
