Are you the kind of person who's into renting something at all? I have seen some who would never rent anything for any reason whatsoever, even if it's something they would use only once, they would rather buy it.

What's those items you would rather rent for a short time usage instead of buying it?

Books. Especially if I only want one or two different blurbs out of it to write down to remember later. However, I'm not sure who would rent books other than a library.

I would be open to renting camping hut. I don't go camping often, so renting it would work better.

That is true. If I keep buying more books that I need, then I will end up spending a fortune.

I would rather rent specialty tools and equipment like power washers and carpet cleaners because they are what I use once in a while. Buying them is like a waste of money.

I would rent video games, books, and movies which I just plan on playing once, but don't want to buy for a more expensive price.

I will rent books from the library instead of buying them in certain cases. Like when I was reading Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events.....I wasn't sure if I was going to like that series so I rented a couple from the library to read and then return them to get the next couple of books. I did this until I read the entire series, I think it was 13 books. I didn't want to buy a seris that large and wind up hating it.

doing yardwork, I rented a lawn aerator. pokes holes in your front yard. I'm glad I rented this instead of buying it.

Renting books is always better than buying. It helps you to be able to read more of those books. I have been in situations where I did that and it ended up working pretty fine for me.

I feel renting/leasing more expensive new electric cars like a $70,000 electric car can help save money compared to buying a new expensive electric car. Car renters don't need to pay to replace the battery and other expensive electric car parts in the future, and you don't need to worry about car depreciation where you lose many thousands of dollars in car value when selling an used electric car on the used electric car market where used electric cars are not worth as much money.
