After attending Saturday's Resident Evil: Afterlife panel at Comic-Con, IGN is fairly confident that we will see another movie in the popular franchise. But, will Alice be joined by one of the game series' most popular characters - Leon S. Kennedy?
Director Paul W.S. Anderson revealed that, while no official plans for a fifth film are underway, he would like Kennedy to make an appearance in the next installment.
Leon S. Kennedy was considered to be in Afterlife, according to Anderson, but the filmmaker opted not to include him due to story concerns.
Fans of the videogame series really, really want Kennedy's Raccoon City cop/freelance badass to make his live-action debut. Chris and Claire Redfield and Jill Valentine have made the leap from polygons to silver screen already. But given the fact that the movies operate on a narrative trajectory different from the games, we're not quite sure how Kennedy will find his way into a fifth RE movie.
