Since the introduction of VAR - Video Assistant Referee in football, there's been a lot of controversial issues with how it's been used. Some people are in support while others believe that it's consistency in calls mar football.

What's your take on using VAR in football?

I like the idea behind VAR: I believe very much in competitive fairness, and if a team loses a legitimate goal due to a referee's error, then that isn't fair.

With that being said, the technology isn't perfect either - and if a team loses a legitimate goal to a VAR error, then that isn't fair either.

I think it should only be used to overturn clear and obvious referee errors (as in, ones that fall outside the technology's margin of error).

It's the inconsistent calls made by the VAR that's making it look bad in my opinion. There should be a universal rule and application in its usage. What applies to team A playing must stand for team B playing in another match. You can't give different calls for the same thing that happened in different matches. It's pure madness!!
