When buying an external USB hard drive, what size would you most likely buy?

I probably buy a 500GB USB external hard drive since they cost 50-60+ dollars at most stores. Plus, it will take me a long time to use up 500GBs of space since I don't download a lot of anime, music, movies, photos, and programs, so I don't see much of a need to buy a huge hard drive which will take me years to fell out since I don't have many files.

Although, 1000GB/1TB external USB drives cost as low as 70 bucks these days, so I might buy a 1TB drive for the extra 10-20 bucks.
