When do you think is the best timing to sell our PS4/XB1 for maximum value before next-gen?

Especially if you also have a PC and/or other system like Switch.

So my PS4 is installing and downloading update for RDR2 as I type this. And I kinda realized that, outside Kingdom Hearts 3, I don't really have anything to look forward to after this one. With next-gen consoles in the horizon, I believe it's a good time to sell my PS4 sooner than later since I still have my PC. With most Japanese publishers on board with PC, I'm not gonna miss most upcoming games outside of exclusives. And with the rumors of PS5 going to have BC, it makes my decision to sell my PS4 soon even easier.

What do you think?

I say now is a good time, wait another year and news of next gen will be out and people will be flooding the market to sell their stuff.

I think selling your PS4 when it is almost Christmas of this year maybe the best time because more people will be interested in buying a used PS4 to give as a gift for someone or themselves during Christmas, so they may bid or pay more money for a PS4 listed on eBay, and other sites.

In my opinion, the best time to get rid of or sell a console is when you no longer get any enjoyment out of that console. If you're not using it and it's just sitting on the shelf and collecting dust, you may want to consider giving it to someone or selling it if you don't know someone else who can put it to good use.

One word, don't. You might regret it.

In the future, the PS4 may drop in price to $99 after the PS5 is released for many years, and.

There is a chance he might regret not selling his console sooner, and end up making less money when the console is worth less money because it is older, and a new PS4 will be sold for $99 or less after the PS5 is released for many years like how people can buy a PS3 for $99 after the PS4 got released for many years.

I think froggyboy604 makes a good statement. If you are planning on getting rid of the PS4, you should get rid of it before they start selling the PS5's. Especially if you don't enjoy playing the PS4 anymore.
