When you were a kid/young teenager did any anime ever seriously creep you out?

When I was 6 or 7 watching Dragon Ball Z, Freeza actually terrified me as a kid. Cell never did as much, but the one time he did was in an episode where he was attacking a town and drained a man's lifeforce with his tail and you saw this dude shrivel up until there was nothing left. That left more of a scar.

Around 2:20.

Other than that I didn't watch enough anime as a kid to get freaked out by other characters.

Freiza never horrified me, but Cell did for the reasons you listed, I still recall a dream of him attacking my school playground and me begging for my life. Not sure why that still sticks.

Yeah and even though I'm not scared of him anymore, I remember watching Dragon Ball Super and still being able to feel the same dread when he was on screen as I did when I was a kid. Dude was dangerous.
