Where do you buy your games?

For me it is Amazon due to convenience and price but sometime I cannot resist going into GAME on a launch day and getting the game with all those other fans :) it's a good feeling

I too buy most of my games from ebay or amazon. But you should be careful when buying used or even new gameboy/gameboy advance games on ebay, especially if they're dirt cheap and come without boxes etc. especially pokemon games. I have read most of those are pirated copies, and they may crash, have low graphics/sounds or not being able to save your game progress.

Amazon, because Gamestop and their employees are a bunch of BS. Always trying to push things on you that you don't need....

When I purchased my 360, they were trying to sell so hard that they forgot to put my HD in the box..... Morons...

GAME is the same Sinocard, always trying to flog their crap at you. It is most prevalent on launch day. While queuing for Modern Warfare 2's midnight launch I was hounded by staff trying to sell me the strategy guide, blue tooth headsets with Call of Duty camouflage on it, call of duty themed merchandise etc. and it was rather annoying. In fairness there were suckers in front of me and behind me buying it so the store staff were obviously doing their jobs well.

yup its all about the GameFly

not the best customer service and they have slowed with shipping but still the best video game rental option, plus you can buy the ones you like for dirt cheap

I have bought a few games online and electronically downloaded them, saves time. Other than that, it's usually Amazon or eBay. But if I go to a store it's usually Game.

I rather get the CD and box too, they are a concrete evidence you once bought something. And if you pc crashes you won't lose the game so easily, as you have the cd :)

Wow. I just read all the posts and I was like O_O

Am I really the only one who buys pirated stuff? :squint:

Well, yeah. You could get a fully-activated Microsoft 2010 for $1.00 here in our country. :ermm:

Besides that, I don't really like 'buying' games since you can just download it from the net itself.

Companies here like to buy stocks for cheap and sell it 3 times the wholesale price.

Mate, I do play pirated stuff as well, but I'm not sure if we're allowed to talk about it here.
However, I do buy games like Halo and CoD as well as games that I like a lot. I buy them from my friends, as well as through this second-hand shop down the street that sells console and PC games which people sold to them - it's up to 70% cheaper than the brand new ones and there's basically no difference in quality.

I don't really like to purchase games over eBay after this incident. The guy sold me a disc which had a hairline crack in it.
I put it into my PS3 and boom - I had to pay for it to be repaired.

Believe it or not I've found a lot of good deals at Target. They have a decent sized game department, although I wouldn't say staff is necessarily knowledgable like at Gamestop.Walmart's PC selection is pathetic, but they have a lot of console games. Best Buy isn't what they used to be. Last time I used Ebay was 2002 where I got a copy of Thief 2.

I live in Australia so Amazon isn't really an option for me :(
I buy all of my games from eBay mainly because when i bought Black Ops it was $110 in the stores and i got it from eBay for $45!
I Spent another $7 for express post and i got it 2 days later!
Retail stores need to learn that it is the end for them very soon.

Yeah, it's either eBay or EBGames for me. Being in Australia... we don't get much else :(

(Actually, I haven't bought something from EBGames for a long time... eBay's just cheaper ;D)

For me I purchase them from my friend's shop. Do get a few dollars off the price and it is also better because I can always go to my friend should I encounter any problems! :)

I am ashamed to say it but I buy my games from Gamestop. In the past I have bought games from Newegg and Amazon. But I really hate waiting 3 days for shipping, my wife will not let me pay for overnight shipping. :gun:
