A couple of months back, just as White Knight Chronicles 2 was making it out onto Japanese retail shelves, Sony announced that the next entry in the franchise would be on PSP. It shared some preliminary artwork and details in Famitsu, but stopped there.
We at long last have a followup report, once again courtesy of Famitsu. The new game is titled White Knight Chronicles: episode portable - Dogma Wars and serves as a prequel, taking place 10,000 years prior to the events of the first two White Knights and detailing the world of the Dogma Wars. This time, you're fighting against those giant knights instead of transforming into them.
Famitsu's new look at the PSP White Knight Chronicles game focuses just on events, with no details on combat. We're going to have to wait for a followup to see how the PS3 version's online gameplay will make the switch to the small screen.
Different from the PS3 White Knight games, Level-5 does not seem to be directly developing Dogma Wars. Famitsu lists the game as being 50% complete and due for Japanese release some time in 2011.
Given the timing of this announcement, we're expecting to see more at the Tokyo Game Show in a couple of weeks.
