I think if enough share holders agree to sell their Sony shares at a good price to another company, the sales would be approved. Sharp which is a Japanese TV and electronics company is also a stockholder company which got sold to another company. Motorola also has stocks, but it got sold to Google, and Google sold Motorola to Lenovo.
I think Apple can afford to buy Sony because Apple earns a lot of money from selling expensive iPhones, iPads, Macs, and software.
Microsoft also still makes a lot of money from selling Windows, Microsoft Office, Visual Studios, etc, so MS probably can buy Sony if MS wants to.
Google makes a lot of money from ads, YouTube, and other stuff, so Google have the money to buy Sony.
Other non-tech companies like oil companies like Exxon can probably afford to buy Sony because oil companies earned a lot of money over the years by pumping gas out of the ground to sell to oil buyers.
