I know on gamefaqs pauline is popular...whats up with that? she'd feel really out of place and only is in the MvsDK games.

If I'm honest, and if Koopa Cape and Maple Treeway are courses, I doubt Goombas and Wigglers will be playable characters, as Goombas are seen in Koopa Cape and Wigglers are in Maple Treeway. Besides they have no hands, or King Boo's tongue power. Also, Monty Moles are also recurring enemies, so their chances are also lowered.

My vote shall go towards Hammer Bro, and Boomerang Bro (that second one due to Mario 3D Land, which has the Boomerang Suit.). I would vote for Paratroopa if the option was there and if I didn't think his chances where that slim.

Edit: Since I can't vote twice my vote's gone to Hammer Bro. I think you can fix that poll by yourself (fix Monty Mole, you put him in twice by accident) by editing the first post you made.

Paratroopa is also a veteran. He was in Double Dash!! I like him but I'd rather have dry bones than paratroopa.

Under this, they have the "returning characters", showing, in order:

If you do the maths, you will know that the total roster, including the new characters (which in turn, includes the 2 yet-to-be-revealed characters), comes to exactly 16 .. excluding the Mii(s).

There are NO 'hidden spots' under the "Returning Characters" section.
Therefore, do you think it's safe to assume that those are ALL the characters in the game, and that the only 2 remaining characters to be revealed are both completely new to Mario Kart?
OR, like a few people on GameFAQs, do you think they'll suddenly expand the page with extra characters? That is, are the 12 characters currently listed as 'returning', going to be the only 12? Or will we suddenly see other characters added to the page without warning?

I think they'll add others. I mean, didn't the European Mario Kart site have a small bar added to the side which changed to a whole hidden characters page when clicked on?

It seems possible they'll do something like this for this game. Then again, it depends really if they're just gonna make it like Mario Kart DS with minimal characters or Mario Kart Wii with a wide selection of them.

$10 to say that they'll have double the amount of characters you can race against in one race, i.e. 16 (8 per race). Mario Kart Wii had 24 which was double that amount (12 per race), so that's what I'm going for. Also, Miis don't count, heh.

I will say maybe E. Gadd, maybe Hammer Brother, Boom Boom would be weird as. Why not add Fly Guy, or Fat Guy, or Stilt Guy, or Pyro Guy, or Ghost Guy, or Spooky Guy, or Shy Away, or Thin Guy, or Slingshot Guy, or Shy Guy again?
