Why are there Online Challenges like Fidget Spinner and Bottle Flip Challenge?

I think people do online challenges to get views on their social networking posts, and online videos, and earn money off ads if they have ads on their website, or YouTube video.

Some people maybe bored, and may take part in online challenges to have fun, and meet other people.

I think this can be a reason that some people take part in these online challenges. I notice a lot of the times people's online friends, followers, and strangers recommend they do online challenges because their friends have nothing better to recommend they do online for an online video, or blog post.
