All these silly news sites go on and on about his 'predictions' and warnings of Nintendo's eminent demise, but why? He's never been right about pretty much anything, and every single point he's made has turned out to be completely false.
He sems pretty much like the gaming equivalent of Nostradamus or Sylvia Browne (that's a good comparison actually, he's got worse prediction skills than many self proclaimed 'psychics')
Heck, why does he even have any job at all? If your rate of correct to incorrect predictions is worse than chance, you'd pretty much get fired if you were working in any other field.
I googled his name and the third or so result was this page, strange.
Anywho, I completely agree. Why does he even have this job? He points out the obvious like
"Thus, early on, I expect SWTOR to attract some WoWsubscribers. If SWTOR is only an average game, these subscribers won't stay long; if it's a great game, some of them might stay a while. Thus, it really depends upon the game, and given BioWare's track record, it's pretty likely that the game will be great."
Gaaahhhhh...
Heres the rest of the article;

Okay, even for him that's completely stupid. So basically, because game X the company made was good, people will try their other games, and if those games are average, people won't keep playing them? That says absolutely nothing beyond the obvious.
He has interesting things to say some of the time, like when he broke down who gets the money when you buy a game. Other times, he can seem crazy, like when he said RTS games are turn-based and single player.
It's always a mixed bag with him, I tend to ignore him when he talks about the Wii or DS because he has a pretty bad track record with both systems.
