Why do retailers focus on advertising the PSV instead of the 3DS?

Well, I have noticed that the recent electronic store fliers (I mean in a month) focus on advertising the PS Vita way more then the 3DS in the gaming section...for example,

Yup, they didn't mention the 3DS. I know the 3DS is currently outselling the PSV, but does it mean the PSV is gaining popularity?

If it's not due to Sony paying for advertising (which is a distinct possibility), then I suspect the reason is a combination of two things:
-The PS Vita is still 'new', so they want to push it more and draw people's attention to it, make sure people know that it actually exists.
-The 3DS is selling more than well enough off its own back at the moment, whereas the Vita frankly needs all the help it can get.

I'm gonna have to agree with Nin, if Nintendo paid as much as Sony that page would be filled with Nintendo stuff instead.

I don't think Nintendo has too much to worry about. I mean, the 3DS has already outsold the DS by 1,000,000 units at this point in either console's life cycle. The Vita hasn't been doing too well, which is probably why Sony is trying to advertise it more.
