I never got this. I mean, aren't these stores supposed to be at least somewhat moderated/curated by a company? How can Apple/Google/Microsoft not know that Nintendo didn't license this crap?
And even if there is no 'manual' moderation (like I hear is the case for the Google Play Store), couldn't they just block any submissions based on key words? Because Nintendo has NEVER licensed a Mario or Zelda game for smartphones. Just make it so any submission with 'Mario', 'Legend of Zelda', etc either gets rejected or flags up the submission for review.

It's even worse on some Android microconsoles. Like how apparently the Ouya at one point advertised emulators and ROMs of Nintendo games as a selling point.
So why don't these companies block/remove these rip offs? And by not removing them, couldn't you argue that they're deliberately aiding in copyright/trademark infringement? Couldn't Nintendo theoretically sue them for allowing this stuff?
