Why do you think some older drivers pick an electric car instead of a gas car?

I notice old people don't like noisy music, and sounds, so they may more likely pick a quiet electric car like a Tesla, or Nissan Leaf rather than a louder car with loud engine and muffler exhaust noise. But, a younger driver maybe fine with a cheaper gas car which makes more engine and muffler exhaust noise, and some young people may pay more for a car like a Chevy Camaro which has louder engine noises.

Some old people also don't drive much, so they are fine with a electric car with less range, and which they need to slowly charge.

I observe old people here prefers noisy cars. One of their reason is when they here the sound of the engine, "it brings back old times" they feel they are young. Then for hours on countryside.

This is true that some older people prefer noisy cars like a Ferrari, and they sometimes buy a noisy classic car which they wanted to own when they were young, but were too poor to afford when they were in high school, college, and most of their adult life.

There are some very fast noisy cars like Ferrari and Lamborghini which are very expensive, so mostly old people with high paying jobs, business owners, lottery winners, and people who came from rich families can afford expensive fast noisy car.

I think one of the other reason some electric cars have so many older owners is because they are too expensive for most young people to own, and old people find electric cars futuristic, so they may more likely buy an electric car with electric motor sounds.
