Why is the Xbox better than the Playstation?

I love the Xbox. But give me more reason why I should love the console even more! I feel as if some people only favor the Playstation3 because there is no cost to playing online multiplayer games. In my opinion, I've always seen the Playstation3 as more of a device for media, and not much of a console for competitive gamers.

That's as ignorant as how I view the Xbox.

A big, American dude bro console that has no place intruding into the video game market. Leave it to the Japs!!
 
All I know is I went from playing games online to playing games on a Wii. Then I got an Xbox360. I absolutely love it! I think the graphics are better, the games for the Xbox360 are totally better than my past platforms. I guess with technology comes better everything. As technology grows with better graphics, games are bound to be made more realistic. I wonder what they'll be like in 10 or 20 years. I see halographic gaming. Whooooa. :thumbsup:

Haha! Sorry, I didn't mean to offend opinions. I'll be honest, I haven't looked as much into the specs of the Ps3 as I have with the Xbox 360, so my opinions are a bit biased. Let me know what makes the console more preferable to you, if you would.

Definitely! If you haven't heard yet, I think sometime this year oculus rift is going to be released, which is a sort of system for virtual reality gaming. I also read into an article that the company producing oculus rift is planning on creating a model that is compatible with gaming consoles in the future, specifically the playstation3. So far, it's developed as only a visual system so that you can turn your head around and look into these sort of glasses as a look inversion controller. Pretty neat, right? I'm very excited to try it out once it does release. :D
 
Lol, I don't think that either or is better then the other... They both have specific audiences and specific exclusive that they are worth getting for. I honestly prefer a PC over them though. Infinite Backwards compatibility :)
 
Okay, both consoles have their pros and cons. I prefer the PS3 over the Xbox but I'll give you a reason why I sometimes envy my Xbox 360-owning friends:

Exclusive games
IMO, Sony wins this one but I can't help but long for Gears of War, Halo, Forza and Dead or Alive. These games have been so awesome in every installation.

The Kinect
Yeah, I feel that the Kinect, though flawed, is an awesome device. If only developers don't make a lot of games that poorly implement Kinect controls.

Uh, that's about it. Haha.
 
This has been a debate going on since the X-box came out, and I don't really see a big difference to name one better than the other. I personally prefer Sony but that is just what I like. Not that it's better just my preference.

I hope you seriously realize that the Xbox one for the last year has been more media than video games, which is why the PS4 has always been outselling it.

Xbox 360 may be a hard core console for shooters, but hasn't done as much for gamers that the PS3 has done (Free online, give away tons of games, ect.) plus the Xbox has flopped in the land of gaming (japan.)

No real tangible reason why I don't like it, it just never seemed nessesary to me. We already had 2 good console companies, a third just diluted the market place.

As that third company came to be known as the dude bro FPS console it just seemed less and less nessesary to me.
 
I'm sticking with the PS3.  We mainly do Netflix, Hulu+, Amazon Prime, and recently the WWE Network on it.  I even sold my old Sony Blu-ray player. lol

And gaming yes, it's a heck of a gaming system too! :D
 
Honestly I'm going with the PS4 over the Xbox One. I am a huge fan of the Xbox 360 and I like it way more than a PS3 but I think the odds changed with the new generation consoles, Microsoft messed up and Sony got it lucky.
 
I honestly believe that the Xbox has the better exclusive titles like Gears of war and Halo.
Both of these series are just amazing!
Also, the Xbox is as good as the PS3 at being a media console and has a good sky go app.
 
I have the Xbox 360 and i like it, but it could be better. I definitely want the the PlayStation 4 though because I've always been a PlayStation fan since i was younger. It was one of my first consoles and lasted for years on top of years. And of course i want to enjoy the free online gaming PlayStation has to offer that's a major plus to me, especially for those trying to save money or don't even have it to spend in the first place. So in My opinion PlayStation is better than the Xbox, and if it's not i'll be proven wrong when i purchase my pS4.  :lol:
 
Not being able to have party chats in ps3 was a big turn off for me, also I love halo so I had to go with the xbox. Also all my friends have xbox too.
