Why'd it make a comeback?

Ok, if you live in Australia, you've probably seen some ads for Beyblade Metal Fusion, and just this week the new cartoon was aired.

But Beyblades, as much fun as they where (and admittedly, still are, I bought a few yesterday myself since my old one I had 6 or more years ago SHATTERED TO PIECES upon a launch... Hopefully these ones are more re-inforced to prevent that, along with the new online game introduced) are a fad of... 2003!!!

Now, 7 years later when the world has moved away from battling, spinning tops, the fad has come back again, almost as if it was to take on the Bakugan series, which is doing well itself.

If you don't know what either of these things are, type them into Wikipedia or Google.

Why has it come back? Post your thoughts/comments below!

Isn't it like a rip off of Pokemon, but with tops? I think I played a game call Beyblade and I will admit it was bad. I haven't heard anything about it for here yet.

This is a topic about fads, crazes, "its" (as in things that were "it" back then), that came back from the dead? Well, what about something that started in 1998 called the Pokemon Trading Card Game (the actual cards not the video game(s) of the same name), that's still going now?

Anyway, back to Beyblade:

The original series ran from Janary 8 - December 24, 2001 in Japan and from July 6, 2002 - August 24, 2003 in English (i.e. North America, England, etc)
The second series (Beyblade V-Force) ran from December 27, 2001 - December 30, 2002 in Japan and from August 9, 2003 - March 28, 2004 in English
The third series (Beyblade G-Revolution) ran from January 6, 2003 - December 29, 2003 in Japan and from September 18, 2004 - July 30, 2005 in English
The fourth series (Beyblade: Metal Fusion) ran from April 5, 2009 - March 28, 2010 in Japan -- I can't find the English airdates, but they must have started at least today
The fifth series (Bayblade: Metal Masters) started on April 4, 2010 and is still running in Japan -- I also can't find the English airdates, but since the fourth series has just started in an English-speaking country, this particular series may not start until at least next year, if not 2012.

This might be confusing, but the series are so late in English-speaking countries, mainly North America, that, for example the second series may not start airing in North America until halfway through the third series in Japan, which is why the third series starts in Japan on January 6, 2003, but the second doesn't start until August 9, 2003 and is still running AFTER the third series.

weird. I've seen commercials for Beyblades...i'd say a month ago, and i was wondering as i watched "...............Are these guys stupid or something? or do they just want to try and beat Bakugan?" Both are practically the same d@mn thing. only ones a ball and ones a top.
