the (probably ridiculous) rumor-of-the-day is that a powered-on Wii emits a sound which cockroaches absolutely love. It draws them like flies...or roaches, really.
So when you're playing Metroid, don't be surprised if a bunch of ugly roaches want to play as well.
Of course, the source of this rumor, Japanese site barks by way of destructoid, is highly dubious, and it seems totally silly.
