According to the folks at Enterbrain (publishers of Famitsu), the Wii outsold the PS3 by over four to one in April-September in Japan (see photo of old man laughing).
Yuppers, Nintendo sold about 1.6 million units of the Wii over 26 weeks through September 23 in its home market, compared with the pithy 385,492 units of the PS3 sold.
