According to a "trusted source" of tech blog Engadet, the price of the Nintendo Wii is about to be cut all the way down to $150. Reportedly, the price-drop for the Wii will begin on May 15.

As Engadget points out, the timing is a little suspect: It would seem to make sense that Nintendo would wait until E3 a couple monts from now to announce a price cut on the Wii, so take this with a grain of internet-salt.

when I do get a Wii, I'm going to be saving some money.

the wii does not have too many adult titled games, which has pushed a lot of us around here away since we are older gamers,

but we have a wii and its for one important reason: the virtual console.

like i said, we are older gamers so we occasionally have to go back to our nintendo roots and play some Gradius or Secret of Mana,

I don't hate the Wii, but I think it's overrated. It's only good games that are disc copies are from 1st party, and some 3rd party. The other 1000 games are absolute shit shovelware. Same with the DS.

I could careless about adult games, as long as the Wii has mario, Zelda, metriod, ect. I will always be a fan. Of course, the VC will be the only thing keeping me playing the Wii.

yes, but even by today's standards these "new" games that nintendo is riding on are all re-makes of the old games we played as kids,

i played through and beat super mario galaxy for the wii, it was awesome, but of course SM galaxy 2 was crap, they were simply trying to extend the popular first game, but even super mario galaxy didnt compare to the N64 version or the older nintendo versions,

even the new metroid, the new zelda, none of them have originality because its all been done before, now they are just stepping up the graphics, so getting tired of these "new" games is really easy when you know where they came from,

but nintendo is not the only company to do this, there are plenty of other companies that make a great #1 game or movie, and then release #2 and #3 and #4 for extended $$$ from the customers & gamers,

I disagree. Everything you said was bad is good.
