As in, a feature to allow the Wii U to have its own version of StreetPass, despite the fact its a home console and you obviously can't take the system anywhere?
It sounds like a very clever feature really. As the source says:
a small device that's comparable to Pokemon's pedometer (seen with Heart Gold and Soul Silver) will accompany Wii U to "Street Pass" gamers everywhere.
Basically, it shows your Mii and a few stats about you, and will gather the profiles and information of other Wii U owners you meet when out and about. So in simple terms, StreetPass for Wii U.
The slogan they mention seems unlikely though, for obvious reasons:
Seems a little... cynical for Nintendo perhaps?
Still, I like the sound of this if true, it seems like a really nice minor feature to have.
