According to this new article http://www.neoseeker.com/news/19455-wii-u-launch-price-will-pleasantly-surprise-consumers-assures-nintendo/

The wii U wont be some astronomically high price Im not suprised at this since we're talking about nintendo and they learned there lesson from the 3Ds according to the article the minimum price would be around 250$ I live in europe so we use euros here so wit would be 200,31 euros here I dont think it will be but thats a pretty decent price your thoughts on this guys?

$250 seems very reasonable. In fact, $300 would probably make a bit more sense. Unless Nintendo is VERY confident that the Wii U will sell good this holiday season, I doubt it'll sell for just $250.

$299.99 is my guess which is still ariund the same competitive price as the other current gen consoles. I will probably buy it no matter what the cost though (unless it has a horrible launch lineup in which I will then wait for some good games)

lets just wait and see

I don't know. $250 sounds like a good price to me. I'd be fine with $300, but I think that's a bit pricey.

Wait, $250USD is about $250AUD ($2 more or so)

...the 3DS started selling at $300AUD and got dropped down to almost $200AUD (at some stores, RRP was down to $250AUD I think).

That just doesn't come out right in my books but... I'd be dancing around the house naked if that was what happened.

It'll have to be cheap, considering what it has to offer. There's really no way they could justify charging x360 or ps3 launch prices for low-end hardware. Without any real technological advantage, they're essentially going into competion with 2 well-established (and now competitively priced) consoles, without their extensive game libraries. The main selling point is the controller gimmick, and the Nintendo name.
