Wii U launching in December (for Europe) and for €400?

Why release the Wii U on the date of the end of Earth!? NOOO!!! (just kidding!) But if this is the same date for the US Wii U's launch, I guess it will be a perfect Christmas gift.

It'd have to be VERY VERY VERY cheap in America to be affordable, IF the 400 euros is correct. At the CURRENT exchange rate, the European price, according to Amazon is equal to .... over $500!
Yes, FIVE..... HUNDRED. So it'd have to be almost HALF PRICE for it to be 300 USD

I don't know why you're over-reacting to this, TUK. You know that this is just Amazon making half-assed guesses in order to be able to take pre-orders (although they're not exactly encouraging them at that price).
There is no way that they could have any knowledge of the release date or price yet (I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't even been set yet). There is also no way that the Wii U is going to be that expensive.
It just seems to me that you're sensationalizing for the sake of it.

For about 500 bucks I could get myself a decent laptop!

In the U.S., it cost $249.99. In the EU, it cost €249.

So it's not quite unreasonable to expect something along those lines...
