Will Destiny 2 be current-gen only?

I can't help but feel they were held back a little by making the first game cross-gen. Surely they have to make this game a current-gen only? What do you think are the chances of this?

Without a doubt, last gen has a year left at best before people need to start moving to PS4, Xbox one and whatever Nintendo has out.
