I think it is a possible that many people will install Google Android on their gaming PC, so they can play popular games like Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Kingdom Rush, and Castle Clash on a PC. Android is starting to have a lot of cool games which are not available on Linux, Windows, or other platforms, so if there are a lot of good games which work with keyboard and mouse, or a PC gamepad controller, people will install Android on a PC to play those games without the need to buy a $300-600 Google Android tablet with 64 and more GB of internal storage, and a good CPU, and video chip to play games.
A lot of Higher Quality Google Android games like Gangster Vegas are also becoming over 2 GB in size, so installing these games on a hard drive with hundreds to thousands of GBs of space is better than a 16 GB internal storage drive which gets filled up quickly when installing a few big file size games.
Games like Gangster Vegas also uses a lot of CPU, RAM, and video chip resources which would run better on a PC where it is simpler to upgrade a video card compared to a mobile device where you are stuck with the parts which came with it.
Sadly, some of the ported games to the Windows 8.1 store won't get updated as quickly with new features, levels, and characters as the iOS, and Google Android versions of the same game.
I notice Gameloft usually update the iOS version of games like Asphalt 8 before they update the Google Android version. The Windows store version of their games and game updates sometimes take weeks, or months to be release.
The paid games on the Windows Store also cost more than the Android, and iOS version, and sometimes there is no free ad-supported or in-app purchase supported Windows version of the game for people to play for free.
I think some people may just install Android on their PC, so they don't have to wait for updates to games as long as Windows, and to avoid buying an expensive Android tablet to play a few higher quality 3D games when they already own a powerful PC which is powerful enough to run Android games.
I think Linux OS is not a very popular Gaming PC Operating system because the video card and other hardware drivers for Linux are not very good sometimes. There is not really much support for Linux Video card drivers compared to Windows.
Plus, the game library for Linux is not as big as Windows. In the future, the amount of games for Android maybe bigger than Linux because a lot of games are coming out for Android, and iOS because of the large amount of people who own iOS, and Android devices.
Indeed, it is. I think it will grow a lot faster once Valve's Steam Machine is released.
I think Android's game library is growing as well since there are now the Android TV, and Amazon's Fire TV consoles which has a lot of Android games which work with a gamepad controller.
