Well, will it?

The console needs a few million more hardware sales by this Christmas, so will 3D World do enough to change its path around?

Or will the Wii U still be struggling after this game is out?

That would have to be one heck of a spectacular game. The only franchise Nintendo owns that could possibly pull a stunt like that off would be Pokémon. Not a crappy Colosseum or something but they would have to make a version similar to X and Y for the console. Like Pokémon U and I or something.

The Wii U doesn't need saving. >_< Jeez will you stop jumping to that conclusion. Once Christmas rolls around, it'll have more sales. It just needs time.

Also even if it did need saving, then I would say sure it would. Mario is the most popular family franchise and I'm sure any family with a Wii U or planning on buying a Wii U, will buy Super Mario 3D World.

Look.

The Wii U isn't doing "that well". It is not doing "as well as expected". The sales maybe "below average".

But it is no way, and I mean, no way, actually "doomed".

Nintendo are NOT doomed. The Wii U is NOT doomed. The Ouya is doomed. The Wii U is just slow. Just struggling a bit.

Also, just because Nintendo lose a bit of money, it doesn't mean they're going to be liquidated as people seem to think. The Wii U doesn't need "saving from the brink of death". It just needs a little help, at most.

I can't really see it saving the Wii U. The only thing that could save the Wii U at this point is super aggressive advertising. Nintendo has had a product out since last November and the general population is still completely unaware. The morning show I listen to on my way to work was talking about how the Wii production was coming to an end, and then everyone started talking about how Nintendo should make a new one. It has been almost one whole year and people still don't know it exists...... GJ Nintendo at missing advertising at the Olympics and Super Bowl.

Ultimately it isn't going to be price or lack of games that hurt Wii U the most, it will be the entire lack of effective advertising.
