Nintendo has the 3DS, Sony the Vita, but Microsoft nothing?
How come they never decided to get into the handheld game console market like their competitors did, and even allowed Rare's games to be on Nintendo's portable systems in the GBA and DS era?
Do they think there's not much of a market or something?
I think they figure they are better off without the added financial stress. Sony has yet to topple Nintendo in the handheld market. I think Microsoft would rather not even try to fight for the small slice of pie left over from Nintendo AND Sony.
Probably. Microsoft is a company and will follow the money. They must know their audience well enough to have decided that a handheld would not be a financially viable product.
And as I've gotten older, I'll admit that I much prefer the games I can get on a console/computer over those of handhelds (bus rides with my iPod notwithstanding).
