Yes, I think PC will always have most of the best free to play games like Team Fortress 2, Runescape, Need for Speed World, League of Legends, Dota 2, and Rose Online.

Most of the free to play games for Smartphones and Tablets have a lot of ads, or trys to sell you a lot of virtual money, and objects to level up in the game faster by buying virtual weapons, and armor. Plus, the controls are not as good as PC games with keyboard, mouse, and USB Gamepad controller support.

I think there would not be many good Free to Play games on big consoles like the PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One because it would make people buy fewer paid games, and consoles aren't well known for giving people free to play games.

Although, consoles like the Ouya, Nvidia Shield, and Gamestick which are smaller consoles may have more free to play games since a lot of Android games are free to play games, but they are not as good compared to the many free to play PC Games.

i agree...there are even tons of free MMORPG's on the net...as well as free Browser games...although some games require a certain payment for items,skill,upgrades.. but still its up to you.  i think this type of stategy is really very good when it comes to attracting more players..

Free-to-Play is the latest gimmick. Don't expect PC and mobile to be central to it. The console world is rapidly adopting it for digitally distributed games.

That's actually debatable. In terms of graphics, story and overall quality, PC games do win, but you should also keep in mind that the number of casual gamers is constantly increasing, and these people would prefer playing games like Zenonia or Robo Defense to games like Bioshock Infinite or Civilization V.

Honestly, I don't see Free-to-Play getting big any time soon on the consoles of the Big Threes.

If Zenonia or Robo Defense got release to PC as well, I think people who have a PC laying around may rather play them on a PC,or  Laptop. There are Android emulators like Bluestack which let you play mobile games on a PC.

Android and ChromeOS are the fastest growing operating system for PC and Laptop, so Android based PC can play Android mobile apps with a touchscreen or a bluetooth controller.

I also don't see Free to play being hugely popular like PC on traditional consoles as well since there may not be enough players on consoles where paid virtual coins, and items like digital swords for a dollar would earn much money for games which don't have a large amount of gamers like League of Legends, or Runescape which have millions of gamers because it is free, and multiplatform for PC, Mac, and Linux if you use WineHQ, and other compatibility layers to run LoL on Linux. Runescape is based on Java, so if you know how to install Java on Linux, it can be played on Linux and other OSes.
