Will Professor E Gadd start appearing in the Mario series again after Luigi's Mansion 2?

Prior to this game the professor seems to have dropped off the face of the planet, since after a long line of cameo appearances in the Gamecube era, he never appeared in any Mario games of note since. Not in Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, or any Paper Mario games, or Super Mario Galaxy 1, 2 or Mario 3D Land, or even any of the Mario Kart or Party games released in a while.

Now though, Luigi's Mansion 2 has him as a major character. So could he start reappearing in spinoffs again as well? Perhaps he'll even be playable in Mario Kart's Wii U installment or something.

I say maybe. This could bring him back for a while and then slowly but surely drop him out again, like what happened with Luigi's Mansion.

I'd say that he should start appearing in more Mario games like the 3DS games and the Wii U games like:


Super Smash Bros Wii U and Nintendo 3DS (that would be awesome)
Mario Kart 8.
