Will racing games always be a popular game category for PC and Mobile Gaming?

I'm not sure if people in the future would still be interested in racing games except for maybe space ship sci-fi space ship racing games where you race in a space ship, and also shoot other players.

I guess racing games popularity maybe similar to airplane flight simulators games on PC and mobile devices. Airplane Flight simulators games have a dedicated fan base, but they are not as popular as other transportation themed games like Grand Theft Auto and Mario Kart.

They will always be popular although the quality of them will always decide whether the game itself will be popular or not. It's easy to create a racing game but not so easy to create one that everyone loves.

Still popular many years later, so I see its future being a good one.
