Will we ever see anything from Super Mario Bros 2 or Super Mario Land again?

As in, any of the characters/enemies/bosses from Super Mario Bros 2 bar Shy Guys, Bob-ombs, Pokeys and Birdo or any of the unique characters and enemies from Super Mario Land 1 or 2?

Because Nintendo are doing a really good job of bringing back everyone's favourite stuff from Super Mario Bros 1 to 3 and now Super Mario World (and even brought back Boom Boom and Reznor), so do you think the cast from these games will be next to get brought back (in 3D!)?

Oh, and before someone mentions dreams and Doki Doki Panic/Super Mario Bros 3, the characters could theoretically exist outside of him, like the SMB 2 in the Super Mario Super Show. If cartoons and comics could even bring back Wart...

The games could do so too.

So what do you think? Will characters and enemies from Super Mario Bros 2 and the Super Mario Land games be next to be brought back in the likes of New Super Mario Bros?
 
I've been thinking about SMB 2 a lot as of late. Personally, I think another game dealing with the dream world of SMB 2 would be wonderful. When the first SMB came out, I was a little too young to appreciate it...still played the hell out of it, but didn't really get it. When the second one came out...I was hopelessly hooked. So many hours, so much frustration...but it was all worth it. Granted it wasn't an original idea at all...I loved and still love SMB 2. So I would hope that someday Nintendo would bring the world of SMB 2 into the new generation!

But then maybe Bowser took over Peach's castle instead Wario, Mario's castle and then with 10 coins instead of 6

If it was still Bowser who took over the castle it would be no difference from the Super Mario Bros Games.
