Will you boycott Sony?

I’m not sure what financial loss they were expecting to inflict on Sony with this blackout.

They’re:
- Not playing on a console that Sony already has their money on
- Not playing games that Sony already has their money on
- Not using the subscription Sony already has their money on

I already mentioned how there’s no big games out during this week. So… what damage is being inflicted here? Sony doesn’t look at how many people log in. They look at game and subscription sales.

Only way to hurt Sony is not to buy consoles/game copies of GTA 6 tied to Sony's stuff and there isn't enough people to make that happen.

I don't purchase physical games most of the time but I don't like having options taken away from people that do. You should be able to either order a physical copy if you want one or have limited stocks in stores. Some people like to have that box on their shelves and they should be able to.

If they are going to go full digital, lower the damn price of games. People shouldn't have to pay $70 for a digital game when you're arguing the price hike was due to production costs.

What they were talking about with production costs didn’t have to do with the production of the physical copies, it had to do with production of the game(s) themselves.

Yes and who told them to make them so bulky and expensive to make? Didn't seem to have a problem with the $60 price tag when they made the original Last of Us and such games.

Tbh, that game came out 13 years ago, and inflation has gone up 43% since then. One thing to consider, is that people bitched when games went from $50 to $60 before the PS3/360.

To answer who told them to make them more expensive to produce: gamers. They wanted bigger and better things, the developers put them in games, but that means they need to hire more people, which then drives up production costs. Gamers buy the games and it reinforces the developers to continue making games that way.

If nobody bought those games and had expectations for next-gen consoles, then developers wouldn’t continue dropping hundreds of millions into developing one game.

Then there’s advancements in technology where some things used to only require a couple of people to do now needs an entire team, or even a department.
