Activision previously announced the free things you'll get for attending Call of Duty XP as well as a $1 million multiplayer contest. Today, the company unveiled more details on how to qualify for that tournament.
Now, keep in mind that you won't win a million dollars. That's the amount of cash they're giving away to the top eight teams. There will be 32 four-person teams competing and the top team earns a prize of $400,000. If you can't do math, that means if you're on the winning team you'll get $100,000. Not quite a million, but still nothing to sneeze at. Since this is being sponsored by Xbox 360, players will use that console.
To earn your share of the million dollars you should check out the different methods to enter including the Call of Duty Elite beta, tournaments at Gamescom, GameStop stores and at the XP event.
Call of Duty Elite Qualification Days
August 5th & 6th –
Team Deathmatch: Most Kills
Domination: Most Captures
Domination: Most Defends
August 8th & 9th
Team Deathmatch: Most Kills
August 8-10

If you aren't in the beta and want to qualify through GameStop then follow these easy steps:
1) Pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
2) Log into your Call of Duty Elite account
3) Enter your tournament code and play to win between August 6th and 7th with Black Ops over Xbox LIVE.
Finally, if you're lazy, you can just wait until September 2nd when you get to Call of Duty XP. There are only four spots to snag then, though, so it should be a last ditch effort if you're serious about winning.
