I heard that Windows was going to make a new phone with the windows 10 platform on it. I recently read, however; they were pushing it back.

I personally would dump my Iphone so hard/fast if Microsoft does come out with a new smart phone. I own a surface book and love, love , love it.

I feel there are not enough quality mobile apps and games for Windows Phone and Windows 10 tablets compared to iOS, Android, and the Amazon Underground App store. I mainly use a phone for texting, voice calls, mobile apps and games.

I don't have a need to use full desktop games and software on a phone because I already own a Desktop PC, monitor, keyboard, and mouse which work good enough for my desktop PC needs.

That is the problem that Microsoft is going to face. I think they will overcome it. I just have this gut feeling it will be a big hype like the Iphone was when it first came out. Hopefully it will convince developers to make apps for the platform.

I feel most developers will continue to mainly make mobile apps, and games for the iPhone, and Android until there are enough users which use the Windows App store.

A lot of users may continue to use iPhone and Android because they don't want to re-buy apps and games which they bought for in iOS App store, and Google Play. Users will be disappointed once they find out that their favorite apps like Snapchat and Games like Pokemon Go and Super Mario Runner are not available in Windows Store.

It is disappointing that popular Apps like Instagram in Windows Stpre are not as good as the iOS and Android version because the Windows Store version of Instagram has a 2.5 out of 5 star user rating compared to the Android and iOS version of Instagram which has 4.5 out of 5 stars, and more positive user reviews.

Microsoft, and app makers like Instagram need to improve their existing apps reliability, and improve user ratings.

Totally agree. Supposedly there is a big patch for windows 10 due out this month. Guess we will have to wait and see what it brings.

My first smart phone was a Samsung Windows phone. I liked it a lot, but the terrible app selection caused me to move on to Android.
