Wow, that is a lot of licenses and App downloads in the 8 Apps stores for Windows 8.

I read at Gamespot that Windows 8 and Windows 7 sold similar amounts of licenses after the first few months of release. A lot of the commenters on Gamespot also seem to be liking Windows 8 because it makes their computer feel faster which I agree with since Windows 8 feel so much faster on my old computer then Windows 7 which sometimes freezes my old computer.

Very low rate when compared to Win 7. Many disliked win 8 due to their tiles and no start button :)

I read Windows 8 rate of licenses is about the same as Windows 7 after the same 10 week period after it was release.

Windows 8 sales are broadly in line with those of Windows 7, Microsoft's last operating system launched in 2009, said Tami Reller chief financial officer of the Windows division

Windows 8 maybe dislike for the lack of a start button, but liked for the introduction of the touchscreen modern user interface which works well on Tablets, and touchscreen laptops, All-In-Ones and desktops.

There are also Startmenu programs like Start8, Classic Shell, and Pokki which brings the classic startmenu back to Windows 8 desktop mode.

I hope they put this in college before I graduate, I like to test it out.
