Wow, 50, 000 Apps for Windows 8 and Windows RT in the Windows 8 App store. Now could be a good time to buy a Windows RT and Windows 8 Tablet, laptop, or desktop to have access to the 50, 000 Apps to download for free, or buy to use on Windows RT or Windows 8, and also use older programs, and apps made for Windows XP-7 which are compatible with Windows 8.

I personally like the Windows 8 apps store in Windows 8 because it is well categorize, and easy to search for apps to install on Windows 8, and getting bad programs with viruses is less common because Microsoft needs to approve the App first, and make sure it is safe before publishing it in the App store.

Windows RT is not compatible with Windows 7 applications, only Windows Runtime applications, so really, this isn't a big deal. It's like when Microsoft threatened to cut OpenGL from Windows and everyone switched to DirectX.

Already that much? I was just looking through the store on W8 today, it does seem like a lot, but 50,000? That's ridiculous.

50,000 Apps in the Windows 8 App store is still a lot of apps, and Windows 8, and Windows 8 Pro can run both Windows RT, and Windows 7 and older apps from XP most of the time.

There are probably enough Apps out of the 50,000 Apps in Windows RT store where most people can look for apps they are looking for, or a similar app which also does the same thing like calculators, video chat, and e-mail, or provide entertainment with games, streaming movies, eBooks, etc.

I bet a large percentage of the billion apps in the Apple App store, Google Play and other apps stores are mostly copied apps which other companies like Google, Facebook, Zynga, and Gameloft made, but with ads, in-app purchases, or a cheaper/free price.
